Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer/Technical Director for the San Antonio transportation team. The role leads complex TxDOT and municipal roadway projects, providing technical leadership and mentorship while growing WSP's presence in South Texas.

You will chair multidisciplinary teams, manage PS&E, schedules, and budgets, and engage regulators and clients. The ideal candidate has extensive design and leadership experience, Texas PE licensure, and a proven ability to develop scope, fee

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
15+ years’ relevant transportation engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Project Manager on transportation projects.
Texas Professional Engineer license required.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and client liaison skills.
Experience with TxDOT and San Antonio projects.

Responsibilities

Lead project scope, fee estimates, and proposals.
Oversee PS&E development, schematic design, and construction-related services.
Manage project budgets and schedules.
Serve as primary client liaison with agencies, contractors, and private-sector clients.
Mentor staff and support growth in the San Antonio and South Texas market.
Ensure QA/QC according to the quality manual.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support diverse projects.
