Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Roadway/Site Engineer in Colorado to own projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include developing work plans, overseeing schedules, preparing fee proposals, and delivering roadway, drainage, and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualified candidates will have a civil engineering degree, PE licensure with 3+ years of experience, and 7–10 years of progressive design experience, plus strong client-facing and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering required.
• PE licensure and 3+ years of civil engineering experience expected.
• 7–10 years of progressive civil design experience with drainage, utility, roadway work.
• Strong project management and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project work plans and scopes of work.
• Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring.
• Prepare fee proposals and track budgets and invoicing.
• Prepare roadway, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce memos, design plans and specifications, and technical reports.
• Administer quality assurance for deliverables.
• Prepare supporting calculations and permitting across jurisdictions.
