Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Roadway/Site Engineer to own and deliver civil engineering projects from start to finish. The role includes developing work plans, budgets, and plans for drainage, roadway, water, and sewer systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

The candidate should have a civil engineering degree and PE licensure with 3+ years of licensure, plus 7–10 years in civil design.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering.
• PE licensure with 3 years of professionally licensed experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive civil design experience (drainage, utility, roadway, development).
• Strong project management and delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project work plans and scopes of work.
• Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring.
• Prepare fee proposals and manage budgets and invoicing.
• Create roadway, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce deliverables including memos, design plans, specs, and reports.
• Ensure quality assurance for project deliverables.
• Prepare calculations and construction specifications for permitting.
• Bid projects and develop execution plans and deliverables.
• Manage development projects for private and public clients.
• Collaborate with practice leaders on multi-disciplinary pursuits.
• Maintain communication with clients and teams.
• Conduct technical reporting and presentations.
• Coordinate with construction contractors.
