Job summary

CTL Engineering, a full-service civil engineering firm, is seeking a Sr. Roadway Design Engineer to lead design and analysis across roadway projects in North Carolina.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency from concept through completion. The role requires a strong background in NCDOT standards, Civil 3D and OpenRoad Designer, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while coordinating with public agencies and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; NC P.E. licensure required.
• Extensive roadway engineering experience, especially NCDOT projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and OpenRoad Designer; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze roadways including new constructions, widenings, and rehabilitations.
• Lead roadway design projects in compliance with NCDOT requirements.
• Coordinate with public agencies for project approvals.
• Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specs.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure on-time delivery.
