State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineer III to join the Roadway Design Unit. You will develop roadway design plans, prepare construction estimates, and ensure designs comply with NCDOT standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and support project delivery through QA/QC and technical guidance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and four years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer registration may be required by NC board.
• Experience with roadway design standards and design drawings is preferred.

Mansioni

• Develop roadway design plans using CADD and prepare estimates.
• Assist team lead with scope of work and contract estimates.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure adherence to standards.
• Participate in status meetings and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet policies.
• Lead/guide Engineer I and II work and provide training.
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
