Job summary

STV is seeking a Civil / Roadway Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office within the Transportation & Infrastructure division. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and a solid understanding of roadway design principles, capable of leading a multidisciplinary design team.

The successful candidate will provide professional design services for municipal and FDOT projects, design roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control and signage, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design.
• Experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
• Familiarity with FDOT FDM and MUTCD

Responsibilities

• Provide professional design services for transportation projects for municipal agencies and FDOT.
• Design roadway geometry and details, drainage, traffic control, signing and pavement markings for transportation infrastructure.
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams.
• Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff.
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff
