Job summary

STV seeks a Civil / Roadway Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to lead roadway design efforts within the Transportation & Infrastructure division. The role involves designing geometry, drainage, traffic control, and pavement markings while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in roadway design, familiarity with Open Roads Designer, and a Florida PE license. Office leadership and team mentoring are encouraged for career growth at STV.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway design.
Experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
Familiarity with Open Roads Designer is a plus.
Familiarity with FDOT FDM, Standard Plans, AASHTO and MUTCD.
Florida PE license required.

Responsibilities

Provide professional design services for municipal and FDOT projects.
Design roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, signing and pavement markings.
Coordinate with client management, other disciplines and marketing teams.
Mentor Civil design staff and guide design direction.
Develop specifications, cost estimates and technical reports.
