Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer Roadway design to join the Florida team. This position is advertised for the Lake Mary, Orlando, Jacksonville, Deerfield Beach, West Palm Beach, Coral Gables and Miami offices.

We seek a team player with highly collaborative work environment skills, excellent client and communication abilities, and strong design capabilities for complex roadway and drainage projects including tolled and non-tolled facilities and arterial design.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadway design projects; FDOT design experience a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project document production.
• Ability to discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.
• Excellent time-management, scheduling, budgeting, and resource use.
• Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Experience in MOT analysis and plan development.
• Experience in roadway pavement design analysis and development.
• Experience in MicroStation, Geopak and 3D modeling software.
• Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on roadway and/or drainage plans.
• Engineer roadway and drainage design projects including tolled and non-tolled facilities and arterial roadways.
• Lead production teams in roadway plan preparation and development.
• Prepare geometric analysis and calculations; establish design criteria and procedures.
• Review plans for conformance with scope and standards.
• May review and seal own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients.
• Develop or review policies, methods, and procedures; ensure conformance with FDOT design standards.
