Job summary

Garver in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking a Transportation Roadway Team Leader to guide highway, roadway, and pedestrian projects. You will mentor teams, develop schedules, coordinate with subconsultants, and prepare client deliverables while marketing services to major Tennessee transportation clients.

Ideal candidates hold a PE in Tennessee (or can reciprocity soon), a civil engineering degree from an ABET program, 10–15+ years’ experience, and proficiency with Microstation, Geopak, and Open

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Tennessee, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire
• 10-15 years or more years of relevant experience
• Practical working knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD and TDOT Design manuals and processes
• Experience with Microstation, Geopak, Open Roads Designer and/or other roadway design software
• Good interpersonal skills and a team-first mentality
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of transportation design projects (Highways, Roadways, Bicycle/Pedestrian facilities)
• Develop project/task schedules for active projects
• Facilitate coordination with subconsultants and internal design team members
• Provide oversight of plans production for transportation design projects
• Prepare plans, cost estimates, reports, and calculations required for client deliverable packages.
• Lead engagement and interaction with design teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
