Job summary

Garver LLC in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking a Project Engineer to join our transportation team. You will contribute to design tasks for state DOTs and local agencies, focusing on roadway projects and drainage, with opportunities for professional development.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree from ABET-accredited program, EIT or EI registration, and 1–3 years of transportation design experience. Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI).
  • 1–3 years of transportation design experience.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO Green Book, Roadside Design Guide, and MUTCD.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering design tasks for state DOTs and local roadway projects.
  • Develop horizontal/vertical geometry and corridor models.
  • Prepare plans, estimates, reports, and calculations for client deliverables.
  • Coordinate with design teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Represent Garver at industry events and professional organizations.
