Job summary

Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer in Franklin, Tennessee to assist in designing and producing construction documents for transportation projects. The role covers roadway components such as typical sections, geometry, drainage, erosion control, and safety and traffic plans, while also handling drafting, quantities, specs, and cost estimates.

The position calls for a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and EIT/EI eligibility or the ability to obtain it

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT/EI or ability to become an EIT or EI within 1 year of employment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and creation of construction documents on transportation projects.
• Develop roadway design components including typical sections, geometry, drainage, erosion control, safety features and maintenance of traffic plans.
• Produce construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Train younger engineers and manage assignments for younger engineers and technicians.
