Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in roadway design.
• At least 3 years managing projects.
• Strong understanding of DOT design standards, manuals, and specifications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Manage roadway design projects for municipal and DOT clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal agencies and DOT clients.
• Lead development of construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project reports.
• Supervise internal design teams and coordinate with subconsultants.
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, including shop drawing reviews and site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Lead proposal preparation and interviews for roadway opportunities.
