Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Roadway Engineering Technician to join our Highway & Rail Team and support the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure.

The role offers opportunities to work on highway and rail projects from our Keene, NH office, with the potential for involvement in multiple Northeast locations. You will mentor designers, contribute to project requirements and budgets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce precise design deliverables for

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in document production within the engineering discipline required.
• NHDOT experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of contract and construction drawings for highway and rail projects using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Mentor junior and mid-level designers, ensuring quality and consistency across project deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Participate in project review meetings and support the preparation of technical reports, material costs, and construction estimates.
• Prepare project “As-Builts” documentation and support field assignments related to transportation infrastructure projects as needed.
