Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join our Roadway Team. You will contribute to planning and design of roadway infrastructure projects such as intersections, arterials, and interchanges for state and municipal clients in the United States.

Based in Jackson, MS, you will collaborate with transportation, drainage, structures, and utilities teams, developing detailed drawings and reports while mentoring junior engineers and interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of roadway design experience, including DOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain MS PE licensure within 6 months.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and OpenRoads CAD standards.
• Knowledge of DOT design standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for roadway design projects.
• Perform roadway design for Design-Bid-Build and/or Alternate Delivery projects using DOT standards and CAD tools.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Conduct geometric design including alignments, cross sections, and pavement design.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design components.
