Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join our Roadway Team in Louisville, Kentucky. You will contribute to the planning and design of roadway infrastructure projects including intersections, arterials, expressways, interstates, and interchanges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mobility solutions for DOT and municipal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of roadway design experience, including DOT projects.
• P.E. licensure with ability to obtain KY P.E. licensure within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Define project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for roadway design projects.
• Perform roadway design for Design-Bid-Build and/or Alternative Delivery projects using DOT standards and CAD tools.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Conduct geometric design including alignments, cross sections, and pavement design.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design components.
• Assist in client coordination, progress monitoring, and project documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions.
