Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer Roadway design to join our Florida team. The position supports office locations in Lake Mary, Orlando, Jacksonville, Deerfield Beach, West Palm Beach, Coral Gables and Miami.

The project scope includes design and post-design efforts on roadway and drainage plans, leading production teams in roadway plan development for diverse infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, Florida PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, and 10+

Qualifications

Experience in designing roadway design projects and FDOT design a plus.
Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project document production.
Ability to discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.
Strong time-management, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
Knowledge of codes and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for design and post design efforts on roadway and/or drainage plans.
Engineer roadway and drainage design projects including tolled interstates and urban corridors.
Lead production teams in roadway plans preparation and development.
Prepare geometric analyses and establish design criteria and procedures.
Review plans for conformance with scope and standards.
May review and seal own projects.
Interact with Stantec clients.
Develop/review policies and ensure FDOT design standards compliance.
