Job summary

Stantec’s Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering team in Florida is growing and seeking a full-time, entry-level Transportation Engineer to join the team. Our Lake Mary, Tampa, Coral Gables, and Sarasota offices offer mentorship as you build foundational skills in data preparation, analysis, and presentation while supporting transportation planning projects of varying size and complexity.

Qualifications

Entry-level transportation engineer with foundational skills in data preparation, analysis, and presentation.
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Interest in transportation planning and safety engineering.

Responsibilities

Performs traffic forecasting and traffic operations analysis.
Supports safety network screening, site diagnosis, countermeasure selection, and economic appraisal.
Participates in field reviews and assists with concept development (signing, striping, signalization, channelization).
Supports the development and preparation of graphics, memorandums, reports, and presentations.
Collaborates with project team on transportation planning, traffic engineering, and safety-related assignments.
Assists with data preparation, analysis, and presentation for projects of varying size and complexity.
