CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection group. You will perform inspections to ensure materials and construction processes meet plans, specs and special provisions.

The role provides exposure to multiple project locations, on-site field work, and potential for professional growth as you document results and communicate with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
• Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Performing inspections of construction to evaluate materials and processes against plans, specifications, and special provisions.
• Uses equipment and performs calculations to support inspections.
• Works with varying supervision levels depending on assignment.
• Reviewing drawings to prepare for construction inspection.
• Documenting inspection results and communicating to the supervisor.
