Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to perform complex and routine inspections of road, bridge, drainage, erosion control, and maintenance works at project sites. The role requires reading and interpreting plans, contract provisions, and drawings, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, relevant certifications if required, a valid driver’s license, and about 6 years of related experience. Travel to multiple project locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate material usage and conformance to plans and provisions.
• Uses higher grade equipment and performs complex calculations for inspections.
• Work under limited supervision or direct supervision depending on assignment knowledge.
• Review drawings to prepare for construction inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to the supervisor.
