Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Inspector to oversee roadway and bridge construction inspections, ensuring compliance with contract plans and standards.

The role involves on-site supervision, QA reporting, and coordination with IQF and developers. The ideal candidate has extensive field inspection experience, strong knowledge of plans reading, and a track record of ensuring safety and quality on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with progressive roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 8+ years of inspection experience.
• High school diploma with 15+ years of inspection experience in roadway/bridge projects.
• Experience in transportation construction inspection including heavy civil, bridge and roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments.
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor work-in-progress against specs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Provide inspections and reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities including remediation and repair reviews.
• Monitor on-site activities and inspect materials per plans and specs.
• Oversee sampling/testing and CQAP compliance.
• Ensure material certification requirements for Final Acceptance.
• Perform contract admin duties and maintain documentation.
