Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join the Medicine Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. The RN will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, and evaluate responses to treatment.

A Texas RN license and BLS certification are required; BSN is preferred. The role requires a minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care, with opportunities to precept and serve as a Charge Nurse on rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Texas; BLS required.
• Two years of nursing experience; acute care preferred.
• Demonstrates patient- and family-centered care with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for medical patients per unit standards.
• Perform continuous patient assessments and respond to changes.
• Document accurately in patient care records and ensure compliance.
• Serve as a preceptor or trainer and rotate as Charge Nurse.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
