Job summary

Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates outcomes. The RN delegates interventions and ensures safe transitions per the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• Current, valid RN license from Texas; or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient advocate, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs patient assessments and recognizes condition changes.
• Delivers safe nursing care and delegates interventions as needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation in patient care records.
• Seeks direction and may serve as Charge Nurse on rotation.
