Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze electronic products returned from customer facilities. You will contribute to continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and collaboration with product development teams while mentoring less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities include developing test fixtures, maintaining repair data, and documenting protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic products.
• Experience soldering both fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB assemblies.
• Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
• Experience troubleshooting analog circuits.
• IPC soldering certification preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and use test equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Willingness to mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronic products.
• Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain an accurate repair database.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist with the design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components.
• Support the development and documentation of troubleshooting protocols.
• Provide feedback to product development teams for design improvements and enhancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
