Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze returned electronic products. The role supports root-cause analysis, test-system development, and collaboration with product teams while mentoring less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities include component-level repairs, data collection, development of testing protocols, and feedback to design for improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or military electronics training plus experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronics.
• Soldering experience on fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB assemblies.
• Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing analog circuits; switching power supplies preferred.
• IPC soldering certification preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Willingness to mentor junior technicians.
• Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronic products.
• Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain an accurate repair database.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist with the design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components.
• Support the development and documentation of troubleshooting protocols.
• Provide feedback to product development teams for design improvements and enhancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
