Job summary

RRC Solutions Group seeks a skilled Electronics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze returned products. You will perform component-level repairs, collect data, and mentor junior technicians while supporting test-system development and documentation.

You will collaborate with product teams to root-cause issues, develop testing protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement, applying strong problem-solving and independent work habits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of component-level troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience soldering fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB assemblies.
• Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
• Experience troubleshooting analog circuits; switching power supplies preferred.
• Experience developing automated test systems preferred.
• IPC soldering certification (IPC-J-STD-001 and/or IPC 7711/7721) preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Proficiency in soldering through-hole and fine-pitch SMT components.
• Lab safety awareness; strong problem-solving and initiative.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; mentoring junior technicians.
• MS Windows and MS Office basic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronic products.
• Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain a repair database.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist with design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and systems.
• Support development and documentation of troubleshooting protocols.
• Provide feedback to product development teams for design improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
