Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead backend design and development for our Falcon Exposure Management platform. You will build scalable Golang/Python services, architect data pipelines, and drive reliability in hybrid Sunnyvale environments.

The role emphasizes leadership, end-to-end delivery, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with a focus on performance and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of production experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Advanced programming in Golang and Python; strong typing.
• Proven microservices experience with scalable REST APIs.
• Cloud expertise with AWS; Azure and GCP are a plus.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, sharding, caching, and eventual consistency.
• Experience with Kafka and real-time data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-driven decision-making and workflows.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis in distributed setups.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services powering web apps and customers.
• Create command-line tools and APIs that integrate with the platform.
• Architect supporting systems like databases and real-time pipelines.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, Sensors, and other teams; document decisions.
