Capital One is seeking a Senior Risk Manager for the Enterprise Risk Management team in Chicago, IL. The role applies risk oversight to strategic initiatives, partnering with lines of defense to strengthen the bank's risk framework and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead cross-functional risk projects, design metrics, deliver executive-ready reports, and mentor teams across IT, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 year of Financial Services Risk Management Experience
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience
• At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Responsabilités

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize risk processes
• Leverage data analysis and operational insights to identify core problems and formulate effective solutions
• Collaborate with 1st Line and 2nd Line stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent execution across business lines
• Partner with technology, product, and data teams to implement required system and process updates
• Design and implement risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness and process health
• Lead training across lines of defense to ensure consistent adoption and execution
• Establish and manage guidance to ensure consistent execution across business lines
• Design and manage reporting that provide real-time visibility into process health for leadership
• Provide subject matter expertise on risk processes when representing ERM in projects and other meetings
• Deliver reporting and executive-level presentations that provide leadership with real-time risk visibility
• Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations to achieve objectives
