Job summary

Block, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and scale control performance monitoring for our risk platform and product governance.

You will work with risk, compliance, product, and engineering to embed measurement from pre-launch guardrails to post-launch monitoring. You will own metrics across a broad portfolio, apply statistical judgment, and develop reusable analytical modules while partnering with internal users to improve risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a quantitative field with significant experience.
• Proven ability to deliver analytical solutions end-to-end.
• Strong SQL and Python for large datasets and reusable code.

Responsibilities

• Define actionable control performance metrics linking objectives to outcomes.
• Investigate controls using source data and system behavior to measure coverage and outcomes.
