Job summary

WEX Bank is seeking a Senior Operational & Financial Risk Analyst within its 2LoD to provide independent oversight across entity-level risks and manage primary risks related to both bank operations and parent services under an MSA.

You will automate the central risk metric library, monitor 1LoD metrics, and perform ad hoc testing for emerging risks, reporting to the eRMC and Chief Credit Officer to drive policy updates and training.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in banking enterprise risk, operational risk, or internal audit.
• 3–4 years focused on 2LoD testing, control validation, and metric oversight.
• Experience with GRC systems (Logicgate, Jira) and data automation tools (SQL, Tableau).
• Understanding of entity-level risk taxonomies and COSO/SOC/NIST frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Execute independent 2LoD monitoring across entity-level risks and oversee primary risks.
• Conduct post-decision reviews on originated credits >$150k for policy compliance.
• Build and maintain a centralized risk metric library with data automation pipelines.
• Monitor 1LoD metrics and prepare escalation packages for eRMC.
• Perform rapid, ad hoc 2LoD risk assessments for emerging risks.
• Serve as primary 2LoD testing contact for parent-provided services under the MSA.
