Acuity is seeking an experienced Risk Control Consultant to conduct surveys and prepare survey reports for the Commercial Underwriting department. This role provides loss control assistance and advice to policyholders and agents, and makes recommendations to reduce loss exposure severity and frequency.

Travel in the Springfield, MO area and southern Kansas City, MO area is required. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Science or related field and at least five years

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Science, or other acceptable curriculum or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Collects information on prospects and policyholders to assess conformity to underwriting standards and best practices.
• Prepares objective written reports that evaluate and grade accounts.
• Meets productivity and timeliness goals per company standards.
• Conducts regular service calls to assist policyholders with loss control efforts and recommends improvements.
• Uses resources such as A.M. Best, NFPA, OSHA, and DOT for technical guidance.
• Stays informed by reading safety magazines and directives.
• Assists in safety meetings and training sessions at policyholder locations.
• Maintains contacts with agency personnel in the territory.
• Engages in personal development to stay current on industry topics.
• Travel within the assigned territory and occasional travel to other territories as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR to operate company vehicle.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
