Acuity Insurance is seeking an experienced Risk Control Consultant to conduct surveys and prepare survey reports for the Commercial Underwriting department. This role provides loss control assistance to policyholders and agents and makes recommendations to reduce loss exposures.

The territory includes Springfield, MO and southern Kansas City, MO areas. The position requires five years of risk control experience (or ten years in a safety field), a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering,

Competenze

• Five years of risk control experience with a multi-line insurance company or ten years in a safety-related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with policyholders, prospects, agents, and company personnel.
• Strong communication skills.
• Functional PC skills.

Mansioni

• Collect information on prospects and policyholders to evaluate conformity with underwriting standards and best practices.
• Prepare objective written reports that evaluate and grade accounts.
• Meet productivity and timeliness goals.
• Conduct regular service calls to assist policyholders with loss control and hazard controls.
• Submit recommendations for account improvement per standards.
• Utilize resources such as A.M. Best, NFPA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Study safety publications and directives.
• Assist in safety meetings and supervisory training at policyholder locations.
• Maintain contacts with agency personnel in territory.
• Travel within assigned territory and occasionally to other territories.
• Hold a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
