Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Risk Control professional for the National Accounts team to develop and oversee risk control services across the country. You will travel to client sites, consult on hazard identification and control delivery, and analyze losses to guide comprehensive risk management strategies.

Ideal candidates have five years of risk control experience, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or a related field such as occupational/environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have or be able to attain appropriate certification to meet state-specific requirements, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a field presence, spending 20%–50% of the time onsite with customers.
• Consult with clients on strategies for identifying hazards, evaluating existing controls and coordinating the delivery of Risk Control services.
• Analyze losses to identify trends and ensure the plan addresses loss leaders while using appropriate resources.
• Negotiate and manage client expectations to balance service and cost.
• Influence clients to ensure commitment to the service plan and implementation of recommendations.
• Build productive relationships with underwriting, brokers, and Risk Control service teams.
• Write technically detailed reports that communicate a clear risk assessment and articulate recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
