CrossCountry Freight Solutions seeks a Risk Claims Manager to oversee auto liability and workers’ compensation claims. This senior, individual-contributor role requires managing property damage and related claims, coordinating with defense counsel, and ensuring compliant settlements.

You will analyze complex medical treatments, tort issues, and jurisdictional matters while maintaining strong insurer relations.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of extensive claims experience in a senior-level, individual-contributor role.
• Extensive knowledge of liability claims administration, including litigation avoidance.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills with ability to assess complex medical treatments, torts, venues, and jurisdictional matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Personally investigate and manage the company's claims; work with insurance companies to set claim reserves.
• Escalate claims to the insurance company during intake and gather information for resolution.
• Directly manage property damage, auto damage, and workers' compensation claims; handle serious losses and coordinate with defense counsel as needed.

The role ensures complete and sound claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures, and directly manages workers' compensation claims, including return-to-work documentation and modified duty job offers.
