Strategic Comp, a unit of Great American Insurance Group, seeks a Senior Claims Specialist to manage Kansas and Missouri workers' compensation claims. This remote role follows Central Time Zone business hours, with occasional travel as needed.

You will investigate claims, establish reserves, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with defense counsel and medical case managers to drive timely resolutions while delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of KS/MO workers' comp claims adjusting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kansas and Missouri workers' comp laws.
• Ability to work Central Time Zone hours and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage KS and MO workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution.
• Analyze claim facts and evaluate coverage, compensability, and benefits eligibility.
• Develop and execute strategies for timely and favorable claim outcomes.
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and bring about claim resolution.
• Communicate regularly with claimants, insureds, employers, and stakeholders.
• Prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategy and claim resolution.
• Partner with medical case managers and external resources.
• Ensure compliance with KS and MO workers' compensation laws.
• Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation.
• Analyze claim trends and support decision-making.
