Job summary

Lithic, the modern card issuing and processing platform, seeks a Senior Risk Associate to run Lithic's risk assessment programs for clients, third parties, and enterprise risk. You will execute assessments end to end, own underwriting criteria, and continuously improve rubrics, questionnaires, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on risk assessments in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Underwriting fundamentals: financial statement review and liquidity analysis.
• Ability to apply rubric-based scoring consistently.
• Experience owning risk programs end to end with SOPs.
• Read control reports (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS AOC) and translate findings.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tooling and defending AI decisions.
• Strong written communication under compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute client risk assessments end to end, from data collection to scoring and tiering.
• Apply underwriting criteria and recommend spend and reserve limits.
• Manage third party risk operations, due diligence, and vendor risk registers.
• Maintain assessment inventory, calendar, and enterprise risk materials.
• Improve rubrics, weights, and SOPs for repeatable assessments.
• Develop and test agentic tooling across assessment workflows.
• Define KPIs/KRIs and present findings to leadership and committees.
• Serve as evidence owner for partner banks and regulators.
• Mentor teammates on methodology and tooling.
