Job summary

Lithic is hiring a Senior Risk Associate to run Lithic's risk assessment function, covering client risk, third-party risk, and enterprise risk. You will execute assessments, own operations to keep them on schedule, and continuously improve rubrics, questionnaires, and SOPs that govern them.

You will also own program underwriting criteria, limits, and periodic reassessment as volumes and product mix evolve, while testing AI-assisted tooling to automate routine collection and drafting.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting risk assessments in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Understanding of underwriting fundamentals: liquidity, runway, loss exposure, limits.
• Fluency with rubric-based scoring methodologies and consistent application.
• Track record owning discrete risk programs end to end with SOPs and metrics.
• Ability to read control reports and translate findings into residual risk.
• Comfort using AI-assisted tooling and documenting decisions for banks.

Responsibilities

• Execute client risk assessments end to end with documentation and interviews.
• Own program underwriting: criteria, limits, and reassessment as conditions change.
• Run third party risk operations: vendor due diligence, certification review, and risk registers.
• Support enterprise risk assessment and prepare Enterprise Risk Committee materials.
• Improve rubrics, weights, questionnaires, and templates; author SOPs.
• Test, deploy, and tune agentic tooling across assessment workflows.
• Define and report KPIs/KRIs and present findings to leadership and regulators.
• Serve as evidence owner for partner banks, audits, and examiner requests.
• Mentor teammates on assessment methodology and tooling.
