Job summary

Zip Co is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst in New York to leverage data to shape repayment outcomes and optimize collections strategy. You will own end-to-end analytics, turning complex data into actionable insights using SQL, Python/PySpark, and AI-enabled tools to support smarter decisions.

You will collaborate with risk partners and external vendors, monitor performance, identify trends, and drive high-visibility initiatives in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, or Collections with expert SQL.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL; Python or PySpark preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence decision makers.
• Self-organized and able to prioritize while engaging senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics on initiatives to improve repayment rates and optimize collection costs.
• Develop insights to monitor performance and proactively identify trends and risks.
• Identify optimization opportunities in external debt collections and monitor agency performance.
• Own end-to-end analytics and collaborate across a highly collaborative Risk team.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive high-visibility strategic initiatives.
• Explore AI to improve decision-making, automate insights, and optimize outcomes.
