Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Technologist to build the next-generation risk analytics platform in Jersey City. You will design systems that ingest, process, and serve petabytes of risk data, enabling instant insights for front office and risk quants.

You will leverage Spark, OLAP engines, and NLP to deliver intelligent data APIs and interactive dashboards, while collaborating with senior stakeholders across Markets and Risk to meet analytical needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies, especially Spark.
• Proven ability to build scalable data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on with OLAP databases (Pinot, Druid or Trino).
• Experience applying NLP to data access is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines ingesting billions of PV calculations.
• Develop and optimize large-scale Spark jobs for high performance.
• Create intelligent data APIs for on-demand risk data access.
• Integrate NLP to enable intuitive data exploration interfaces.
• Model and load data into OLAP engines like Pinot/Druid/Trino.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Quant and Risk teams to deliver solutions.
