Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a Process Engineer for the 200mm Fabricator team. You will support RIE manufacturing processes, driving improvements in throughput, cost, and yield while defining qualification roadmaps and leading troubleshooting efforts.

The role involves close collaboration with equipment, integration, and quality engineers in a fully onsite, daytime schedule with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering discipline
• 4–5 years semiconductor experience with knowledge of SPC and DOE
• Fluency in English (written & verbal)
• Willing to travel up to 10%
• Ability to wear PPE and work in cleanroom environments
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning
• Define and maintain process qualification roadmaps
• Lead process qualifications and implement control plans with engineers/technicians
• Design, execute and analyze experiments to optimize manufacturing processes
• Use FMEA to assess risk and mitigate changes
• Collaborate with integration, equipment and quality teams on next-gen technologies
• Apply structured problem solving (e.g., 8D) to develop solutions and prevent recurrence
