Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. in Essex Junction, VT is seeking a Principal Process Engineer for the Etch area. This is an onsite role with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, offering some flexibility for evenings/weekends as needed.

You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization focused on development, support and continuous improvement of RIE manufacturing processes within the 200mm Fabricator team.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or related discipline.
• 4–5 years of semiconductor experience with strong SPC and DOE knowledge.
• Fluency in English; willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of RIE processes to improve throughput, yield and cost of ownership.
• Define and maintain process qualification roadmaps and control plans.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting and risk assessment using FMEA and 8D methodologies.
• Collaborate with integration, equipment, quality engineering teams to advance next-gen technologies.
