Job summary

GlobalFoundries, a leading semiconductor foundry, seeks a Sr Process Engineer for the Essex Junction, VT site to own, sustain, and improve RIE processes. The role is fully onsite, Monday–Friday daytime, with responsibilities spanning collaboration with technicians and engineers, and driving throughput and yield improvements.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a relevant field, 2–3 years of semiconductor experience (4+ preferred), English fluency, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities to meet business needs.
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams (maintenance, process, equipment).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and clean room facilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with maintenance, process, and equipment engineers to meet production demands.
• Design and execute experiments to perform root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
• Lead process qualifications for new tools and processes; implement control plans.
• Support cross-functional problem solving with facilities, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Create, execute and improve standard work; document processes and results.
• Coordinate with integration, equipment, and quality teams on new technologies.
