Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Pursuits & Directories Senior Manager in the United States to lead RFP responses, pitches, and content development across multiple offices. You will collaborate with attorneys and BD/Marketing teams to craft compelling, client-focused proposals on time while maintaining compliance and brand standards.

You will drive process improvements, manage concurrent projects, and mentor teams to deliver high‑quality materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
• 10+ years’ relevant experience directing RFP responses in a professional services environment; understanding of the proposal process in a competitive market.
• Strong proposal development and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates conversations with attorney teams and leverages client intel to differentiate the firm with clear win themes.
• Acts as project manager throughout the pitch and proposal lifecycle including opportunity assessments, tracking, planning, kickoff calls, content drafting, and coordinating with pricing and BD teams.
• Drafts, edits, formats and reviews proposal documents and ensures final submissions meet requirements.
• Coaches lawyers on in-person/virtual presentations for business development opportunities.
• Proactively extracts pitch trends to identify BD opportunities and manage the pipeline.
• Ensures follow-up on opportunities to ascertain win/loss status.
• Leads team and shares best practices across projects.
• Maintains standard materials post-pitches and supports Chambers/Legal500 submissions.
