Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking an onsite Senior Range RF Test Systems Engineer to join the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate. You will design, develop, integrate, and validate antenna test range hardware and software for multiple production programs.

The Senior Range RF Test Systems Engineer will collaborate with hardware, software, and program engineers, implement system software engineering best practices, and provide hands-on testing support while mentoring others.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in STEM and 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
Experience developing and deploying test software in C#/C/C++/MATLAB.
Experience automating RF test equipment control (VNA, signal generators, spectrum analysers).
Experience creating RF test plans using NI TestStand or MATLAB.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and develop test software for production testing with hardware and program engineers.
Implement software engineering best practices for planning, scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate design activities with disciplined engineering processes and leadership.
Communicate technical information in formal design reviews.
Provide hands-on product testing support in an engineering environment.
Share knowledge and mentor other engineers on the team.
Support RF Technologies department goals with the section manager.
