Job summary

Amplitech Inc. is seeking a Senior RF Test Systems Engineer to build and run automated test stations for LNAs, MMICs, and RF subsystems, turning bench measurements into fast, repeatable production tests using Python.

You will design and maintain ATE stations, automate VNA, noise figure, and power measurement workflows, and collaborate with design teams to troubleshoot test issues and extend test capabilities for 5G NR signals and RF modules.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of RF test experience.
• Hands-on experience with VNAs and RF test equipment.
• Strong Python for instrument control and data analysis.
• Understanding of S-parameters, noise figure and linearity.
• Knowledge of 5G NR signals and modulated measurements.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) stations in Python for characterization and production test.
• Automate S-parameter measurements on VNAs, including calibration and de-embedding.
• Develop noise figure and gain measurements using noise figure analyzers and Y-factor methods.
• Automate power sweeps to measure P1dB, Psat, OIP3 and efficiency with test equipment.
• Test 5G NR modulated signals, including ACLR, EVM, and linearity measurements.
• Build tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting; maintain test limits and data records.
• Troubleshoot test hardware and support root-cause analysis with design team.
• Keep test equipment calibrated and help specify new test capabilities.
