Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks an experienced RF Test Engineer to design, deploy, validate, and optimize RF automated test systems for next-gen communications hardware. You will bridge production, test development, and hardware teams to ensure high-performance RF products meet manufacturing standards.

The role emphasizes DFT/DFM input, KPI monitoring, and hands-on calibration and troubleshooting of RF test equipment, with a focus on reliable transfer from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years testing RF communications, wireless or radar systems.
• At least 3 years hands-on with RF lab test equipment and ATE.
• Experience supporting product validation, manufacturing/test environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and data interpretation for RF performance.

Responsibilities

• Bring up and validate RF automated test systems for communications hardware.
• Verify RF test system performance against specs and requirements.
• Provide DFT/DFM feedback during product/test development.
• Monitor RF metrics, identify trends and anomalies affecting quality.
• Generate reports on test results, risks, and recommendations.
• Calibrate, validate, maintain, and troubleshoot RF test systems.
• Support RCAs across test, manufacturing, and engineering.
• Collaborate with production, test, manufacturing and hardware teams.
• Help develop new RF test methodologies and validation processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in RF test workflows and automation.
