Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer I to support development of RF products, payloads, and TT&C subsystems. You will perform design trades, analyses, and hands-on tests in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years in RF, strong knowledge of RF systems, and eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance; base salary range is $130,000–$170,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, RF communications (or related) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Understanding of RF communications and navigation systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain requirements specifications for RF systems and payloads.
• Conduct payload design trades to support new business proposals.
• Drive development processes and make key design decisions and trades.
• Perform analyses to support design needs and test plans.
• Develop GSE and production automation and documentation (ICDs, User Manuals).
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers and manage inquiries.
