Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior RF Systems Engineer I for future openings. You will support development of RF products and payload/test subsystems, and you’ll contribute to TT&C and RF payload testing. A strong RF engineering and system-test background is essential.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience, with US citizenship and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Base pay ranges from $130,000 to $170,000 USD per year.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (RF focus) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated RF knowledge including link budget analysis and linearity.
• End-to-end experience in developing and delivering RF systems for space applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain requirements specifications for RF payloads and subsystems.
• Conduct payload design trades to support new business proposals.
• Drive development processes and make key design decisions and trades.
• Complete analyses to support design needs and develop test plans.
• Support the design and development of GSE and production automation.
• Prepare product documentation including ICDs and User Manuals.
• Review proposals and requirements to assess compliance with capabilities.
• Scope and drive development activities for new requirements.
• Support engineering reviews such as PDRs, CDRs and TRRs.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers and troubleshoot anomalies.
