Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer for mission formulation in Long Beach, CA. You will lead RF payload engineering for next-generation satellites, driving requirements, budgets, and verification strategies with a focus on robust space architectures.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in aerospace RF systems, and an active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility. Base pay ranges from $120,000 to $210,000 USD, with comprehensive benefits and ITAR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace/defense RF systems.
• Experience supporting satellite payload development and space-based radar or satellite communications.
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF payload engineering formulation to support business development and opportunities.
• Develop RF link budgets and performance analyses, payload requirements, and verification strategies.
• Create simulations and analyses of RF system performance and payload integration methods.
• Define interfaces and CONOPS with spacecraft subsystems; assist with program management for payload-focused efforts.
