Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer I to support development of new RF products and TT&C subsystems, with hands-on payload testing in a fast-paced environment. You will lead system development trades, write requirements, and contribute to test plans, while collaborating with customers and programs to ensure mission success.

Candidates should have a Bachelors in EE or RF, 5+ years RF experience, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or RF communications with 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong RF knowledge, including link budget analysis and linearity.
• Solid understanding of RF communications, navigation systems, and ground station components.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain requirements specifications for RF systems.
• Conduct payload design trades to support new business proposals.
• Drive development processes and make key design decisions.
• Develop test plans and procedures for RF payloads.
• Provide technical support within customer and program teams.
