Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Effector RF Team in Tucson, AZ. You will contribute to architecture, analysis, design, and implementation of RF subsystems and sensors for missile products, lead small teams, and work with government personnel on roadmaps and modernization.

The role requires an active DoD security clearance, strong RF design experience, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience designing, integrating, and testing RF subsystems and sensors.
• Proven ability to coordinate across engineering disciplines to define RF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and test RF sensors and subsystems across frequencies MHz to millimeter-wave.
• Decompose system requirements into RF component requirements and verify performance.
• Measure RF components, sensors, and subsystems in chamber and range environments.
• Perform link-budget modeling and RF analysis including EMI, antenna patterns, and ADC characteristics.
